Building Awareness, Empathy & Confidence… One Wag at a Time
We believe emotional intelligence is just as important as academics or achievements.
It’s the ability to understand ourselves, relate to others and respond to life with kindness, curiosity and calm.
Our canine-assisted programs help children, teens and adults grow their emotional intelligence in a safe, non-judgemental space… supported by the steady, soothing presence of an emotional support dog.
Emotional intelligence (EQ) is the ability to:
🐾 Recognise your emotions
🐾 Understand why you’re feeling a certain way
🐾 Express your feelings in healthy, respectful ways
🐾 Notice and respond to the feelings of others
🐾 Build strong, empathetic relationships
🐶 Children who struggle with friendship dynamics or emotional outbursts
🐶 Teens navigating peer pressure, conflict or low self-esteem
🐶 Adults who want better relationships, clearer boundaries or improved communication
🐶 Neurodivergent individuals learning emotional awareness in a way that makes sense to them
Dogs are naturally emotionally intelligent.
They sense how we’re feeling… often before we do… and respond with gentle presence, not judgment.
In our sessions, emotional support dogs help to:
✅ Create a calm, emotionally safe environment
✅ Model empathy and non-verbal connection
✅ Lower anxiety and make learning feel less clinical
✨ Naming and noticing feelings (without shame or judgment)
✨ Learning how emotions show up in the body
✨ Practising empathy, active listening and healthy communication
✨ Setting boundaries and recognising others’ cues
✨ Regulating emotions before reacting impulsively
✨ Strengthening self-worth and social confidence
✔ Stronger relationships with peers, parents or partners
✔ Greater empathy and understanding of others
✔ More confident decision-making and boundary-setting
✔ Improved mental health and emotional resilience
Q: What age is this for?
We support children, teens and adults of all ages. Sessions are tailored to be age-appropriate and emotionally safe.
Not in the traditional sense. Our work is therapeutic and supportive… but we focus on life skills, not clinical counselling.
Q: Can this be funded by NDIS?
Yes! Emotional intelligence development can fall under Capacity Building, Social & Community Participation or Improved Daily Living.
Whether you’re supporting a child, walking your own growth journey or helping someone you care for… emotional intelligence is a gift for life.
